I want you to take a trip down memory lane, all the
way back to High School Gym Class.
If your class was anything like mine, we always began
with some simple stretches before we started running
around.
One of these stretches was for the shoulder. It was
really easy. All you had to do was take one arm and
fold it across the top of your chest and use the other
arm to press it down flat. You were supposed to feel
the stretch in the back of your shoulder.
That's all well and good. But as I learned later, this
stretch is nearly useless when compared to other ones
for the shoulder. In fact, in some cases, this kind of
stretch can make shoulder pain even worse.
For a lot of people, all this stretch is doing is loosening
up muscles that are already too loose, and keeping the
tight muscles as tight as ever.
Not a good idea in my book.
Now, you might be wondering if there are good
stretches to perform if strong, healthy shoulders
are what you want.
Absolutely.
To find out what those unusual stretches are, check
out http://www.stopshoulderpain.com right now.
And forget what you learned in gym class.
